Junior Golf at Verulam Golf Club – Where Young Golfers Thrive

At Verulam Golf Club, we’re passionate about introducing children to the game of golf in a fun, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Our Samuel Ryder Junior Academy offers a vibrant coaching programme designed by our expert PGA Professional Coaches to suit every stage of a young golfer’s journey — from complete beginners to those striving for excellence.

Whatever their level, our comprehensive and progressive coaching pathways ensure each child develops their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. With structured lessons, fun challenges, achievement targets, and plenty of rewards along the way, we make learning golf exciting and rewarding.

Junior golfers can get involved all year round through seasonal camps, academy group sessions, individual lessons and on-course experiences — all designed to nurture their passion and potential in the sport.

Weekly Group Classes

We run weekly junior group classes for golfers of all abilities, aged 4 to 18. These fun and inclusive sessions provide structured coaching in a supportive group environment, helping young players build their skills, confidence, and love for the game. Classes take place on Tuesday evenings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday mornings, making it easy to find a time that fits your family’s schedule. Whether your child is picking up a club for the first time or working on refining their technique, our sessions offer the perfect mix of learning and enjoyment.

Holiday Camps

Our golf camps run during every school holiday and offer an exciting opportunity for juniors of all skill levels to develop their game in a fun and supportive environment. Through a mix of engaging competitions, interactive games, and golf-themed quizzes, campers not only improve their skills but also learn important values like sportsmanship and focus.

⚠️ Important Information

    •    Limited to 12 participants per session – spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

    •    Minimum of 3 participants required for a session to go ahead.

    •    24-hour notice required for cancellations to avoid being charged.

Individual Tuition

Individual and group lessons are available to all juniors. 60 minute lessons are £60 and 40 minute lessons are £50. These can be organised for whenever suits. Packages are available, please contact us for more information.

Tuition is headed by our Samuel Ryder Academy Director Grant Neal and PGA Professional Laurence Allen. All of our Professionals are DBS Certified and our Children & Safeguarding Policy is place to make sure your child is in a safe environment.
